Kate
holds a City & Guilds Diploma, with distinction, in Garden
Design as well as the RHS General Certificate in Horticulture
and the RHS Advanced Certificate in Horticulture. Kate is currently
studying for the RHS Diploma – all very challenging courses
covering all aspects of horticulture from rock formation to
Plant Taxonomy.
Sjoke currently
works part time at a well respected local nursery. She has
gained a great deal of experience in propagation, as well as
pruning and generally how to care for many different plants,
including rare and unusual varieties. Sjoke is energetic and
hard working and has an absolute passion for gardening.
Doug has a NVQ
in Amenity Horticulture (OND) and a City in Guilds Stage 3
in Horticulture. He has worked in horticulture most of his
life: at a forest nursery and culminating in managing Landscape
Design, Planting and Construction for a Local Authority. His
special gardening interests include butterflies, birds and
wild flowers.
Paul holds a
City & Guilds Certificate in Amenity Horticulture as well
as the RHS Advanced Certificate in Horticulture. During his
apprenticeship with Portsmouth City Council, Paul was responsible
for the planting out of the now well established Rock Garden
at The Dell in Southsea.
Gordon holds a National Certificate in Garden
Design as well as a National Diploma in Horticulture. Gordon
has a particular flair for Planting Design where he creatively
blends leaf shapes and carefully chosen plant colours to give
very controlled borders, packed full of movement and interest.
